MARD: Vietnam Agricultural Commodities to Increase Exports in 2011

Key exports with high export receipts will remain to be rice (US$3.4 billion), aqua-products (US$5.8 billion), coffee (US$2.6 billion) and rubber (US$3 billion).

Vietnam Rice Export Q1.2011 Exceeded 1.8 Million MT, 6 Million Expected for 2011

© Vietnamica.net | April 7, 2011 — According to Vietnam Food Association, Vietnam exported over 1.849 million metric tons (MT) of rice in Q1.2011, earning US$ 884 million (FOB price), representing a 42-percent jump in volume, and 46-percent increase in dollar terms, compared to Q1.2010. On average, export price gained US$8.19 per MT, reaching US$478.12 per MT.
