France and ADB Fund Vietnam’s $360 Mln Role Model University Project in Hanoi

May 3, 2011 (Vietnamica.net) – The Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) BoD has approved a loan and additional credit facility worth total US$190 million today, comprising of $170 million Ordinary Capital Resource and $20 million credit facility from the Asian Development Fund (ADFHT), during the ADB’s 44th Annual Meeting held in Hanoi, for a Vietnam’s role model of university education – The University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH). Two Gold Mining Accidents; Eight Reported Dead

May 2, 2011 (Vietnamica.net) – Tuoi Tre News reported that five gold miners were killed while illegally mining along the bank of the Ca River in Nghe An Province on May Day. Two other workers survived this accident. Head of Tuong Duong district police said the mining site was closed by authorities but these workers tried to excavate for gold there.
